My client is a leading manufacturer and contractor within their industry and is currently looking for skilled Welder / Fabricator to join their team for an upcoming 2–3 month structural steelwork project.

The Role - Welder & Fabricator

  • Fabricating and welding structural steelwork on site
  • Carrying out coded MIG welding to a high standard
  • Working from engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
  • Measuring, marking out, cutting and preparing steel components
  • Welding structural steel frames, beams, columns and associated steelwork
  • Carrying out site installations and modifications where required
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards
  • Working independently and as part of a site-based team
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Following all site health & safety procedures

Minimum Skills / Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator
  • Strong background in structural steelwork
  • Experience working on construction or industrial sites
  • Coded MIG welding experience essential
  • Able to weld structural steel to a high standard
  • Competent reading and working from engineering/fabrication drawings
  • Experience with fabrication, fitting and preparation of steelwork
  • Relevant welding certificates/coding to current standards
  • CSCS or relevant site certification would be advantageous
  • Strong commitment to health & safety
  • Reliable and able to commit to the full 2–3 month project
