They are looking for a practical, hands-on engineer to support and improve their manufacturing operation.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys solving real engineering problems and working across machinery, fabrication, tooling, process equipment and factory improvements.
The role would suit an experienced engineer who is mechanically strong, practically minded, and comfortable turning ideas into working solutions.
Commutable from Northampton, Kettering, Daventry, Peterborough and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer
- Fault-finding and improving production machinery
- Working on pumps, motors, drives, pneumatics and mechanical systems
- Fabrication, welding and modification work
- Building jigs, frames, supports and practical production tooling
- Working with mould tools and mixing/process systems
- Supporting machinery upgrades and factory improvements
- Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out practical electrical work where required
- Solving recurring production problems with permanent fixes
Essential Skills & Experience - Maintenance Engineer
- Manufacturing/plant/factory engineering
