A growing fire & life safety specialist is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join its field team in Newcastle. This is a hands-on role focused on planned maintenance and reactive fault-finding, keeping life-critical fire alarm systems compliant, reliable, and ready when they matter most. They are currently looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to carry out installation jobs. The ideal candidate would be based in Newcastle.
The Role:
- Covering travel around the North East region, including Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and Darlington.
- Installation and maintenance of a range of fire alarm systems within commercial environments.
- Carrying out small works when required.
- Conduct inspections, testing, diagnostics, and fault finding, producing detailed technical reports.
- Communicate effectively with customers to provide excellent service and to resolve issues promptly.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Fire Alarm Engineer:
- Previous experience in fire alarm installation, service and maintenance
- Previous field-based experience and happy to travel
- Strong customer-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Driven and willing to develop
- Previous experience in commercial settings.
- Level 3 EAL or FIA qualification in Fire Alarms or similar (desirable but not essential)
The Package - Fire Alarm Engineer:
- Starting salary from £35,000-£38,000 per annum

- 33 days including statutory bank holidays
