My client is a specialist within the fire protection industry, delivering high-quality fire and smoke curtain systems across Central London. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Trainee Fire Curtain Fitter to join their team and be trained within this specialist field.
The Role - Trainee Fire Curtain Fitter:
- Assisting with the installation of fire and smoke curtain systems across commercial, retail, and residential sites
- Working on projects ranging from standard doorway installs to large-scale curtain systems
- Carrying out mechanical installation work, often at height
- Travelling to Central London daily for installation projects
- Working alongside experienced engineers to develop specialist industry knowledge
- Supporting with installation preparation, fitting, and site duties
- Learning to manage installations to a high standard, safely and efficiently
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Trainee Fire Curtain Fitter:
- Strong Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background (mechanically biased preferred)
- Hands-on installation, fitting, maintenance, or engineering experience
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- CSCS Card beneficial
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- Comfortable working at height
- Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- (Experience within fire curtains, roller shutters, doors, access systems, or similar industries would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.)
The Package - Trainee Fire Curtain Fitter:
- Basic Salary: Up to £32,000
- Monday-Friday 40 hours (7 am-3 pm or 8 am-4 pm)
- Company electric van provided & home charger installed
- Overtime available (x1.5 evenings)
- Occasional Saturdays
- Company Pension Scheme & Holiday Scheme
- Private Health Insurance
- Full training provided (manual handling, asbestos awareness, silica dust, first aid)
