We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer on behalf of a leading organisation within the lift industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business, working on a varied portfolio of lift equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of lifts while delivering a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities of Lift Service Engineer:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across your assigned portfolio, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant, and reliable.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete repairs within agreed SLAs.
- Aim to achieve first-time fixes to minimise downtime and disruption.
- Undertake minor repairs to maintain ongoing operation and prevent escalation.
- Accurately use field management systems to record work in real time and ensure job completion.
- Identify and report additional repair, upgrade, or modernisation opportunities.
- Support neighbouring areas where required.
- Participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours emergency support.
- Deliver excellent on-site customer service, maintaining a professional and approachable manner.
- Adhere to all health, safety, compliance, and quality standards at all times.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required for the Lift Engineer role:
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Service, Maintenance, or Repair.
- Solid experience as a Service or Callout Engineer.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Customer-focused approach.
- Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Comfortable using digital field service management tools.
