I’m working exclusively with a growing business in the groundworks and civils sector, which is looking to appoint an Internal Sales Executive at their Leeds office. This is a great opportunity for someone with civils or groundworks sales experience who enjoys outbound, phone-based sales and is looking for a role with genuine progression as the business continues to expand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactive outbound sales calls to contractors, groundworkers, merchants, and stabilisation companies
- Managing and developing an existing database of circa 250 civils/groundworks contacts
- Generating new enquiries, following up leads, and maintaining regular customer contact
- Managing CRM data accurately (full training provided)
- Building relationships with merchants and supporting their sales activity
- Handling commercial conversations, negotiation, and account management
- Driving sales during peak seasonal demand periods
The role will initially be standalone, but there is clear scope for progression into a leadership position or for the successful candidate to become the product specialist as the business grows.
The Candidate:
- Sales experience within groundworks, earthworks, civils, or civil merchants
- Confidence and resilience in a phone-based sales environment
- A proactive approach to outbound sales and pipeline development
- Strong organisational skills and experience using CRM systems
- A genuine interest in developing long-term customer relationships
- Ability to commute daily to Leeds (this is not a hybrid role)
- Experience selling to or working with merchants
