Graduate Structural Engineer (Civil or Structural) Attractive Salary package (DOE) 25 days holiday + bank holidays Company Pension Scheme We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer who is looking for a new challenge! Joining the existing team you will be integral to the business development as the practice grows. Working mostly in the residential and commercial sectors on a wide range of projects. Ideally you will have some form of working experience in this field, be that from a placement / work experience or perhaps you are already a year or two into your career and looking for a move. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and analysis of structural and civil engineering projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and temporary works. Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and design reports under the guidance of senior engineers. Carry out site visits and inspections to gather data, monitor progress, and check construction against design specifications. Support the preparation of tender documents, specifications, and cost estimates. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals to support smooth project delivery. Conduct technical research to support engineering decisions and ensure compliance with current codes and standards. Assist in modelling and analysis using relevant engineering software. Contribute to the preparation of risk assessments and method statements. Maintain accurate project records and assist in compiling project documentation for submission. Proactively develop technical skills through training, mentoring, and hands-on project involvement. The Right Person The successful Graduate Structural Engineer will have experience in the following areas: A suitable engineering degree MEng/BEng in Structural OR Civil engineering. Knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures, and Structural principles. At least 1 year of practice experience, either during university or after. Interested?
