Are you an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of selling into construction, roofing or building products? We are recruiting a Commercial Sales Manager to own the development of a specialist commercial division, build new relationships, and generate sales opportunities across the UK. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys new business development and consultative sales and wants the freedom to build their own customer network and market within the roofing materials industry.

The Role - Commercial Sales Manager:

  • Strong focus on new business development, identifying and approaching potential customers across the UK.
  • Generate your own leads and build a strong network of industry contacts through phone, email, LinkedIn and face-to-face meetings.
  • Develop relationships with architects, developers, roofing companies, contractors, specifiers and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify project opportunities and manage them through the sales process from initial contact to close.
  • Deliver consultative and technical sales presentations to prospective customers.
  • Develop and manage key commercial accounts, identifying opportunities for continued growth.
  • Spend approximately 1-2 days per week travelling and attending customer meetings and site visits.
  • Manage sales activity, opportunities and pipeline through the CRM system.
  • Work closely with internal Project Managers, surveyors and technical teams to support customer requirements.
  • Work towards agreed sales targets and play a key role in growing the commercial division nationally.

Key requirements - Commercial Sales Manager:

  • Experience selling within construction, roofing, building products or a related sector.
  • Experience dealing with architects, developers, roofing companies, contractors or similar.
  • Proven B2B sales/business development experience.
  • Experience working to sales targets and budgets.
  • A consultative approach to sales.
  • Confidence presenting products and solutions to customers.
  • Experience using a CRM system, HubSpot or similar.
  • The ability to manage your own territory, pipeline and customer relationships.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Salary and Package - Commercial Sales Manager:

  • £45,000-£50,000 per annum.
  • Uncapped Bonus Scheme.
  • Mon - Fri 8:45-5pm.
  • Car Allowance and Fuel Card.
  • Company Pension Scheme.
  • Company card & tech.
  • Company Medicash Scheme.
  • 24 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
