My client is an established firm in the engineering manufacturing sector, based in Northampton and commutable from Wellingborough, Kettering, Desborough, Spratton, Guilsborough and Daventry. They are currently looking for a skilled CNC Turner to join their team.
The Role:
- CNC Turning
- Working on Fanuc based controls
- Working from drawings
- Quality checking parts using various hand tools
- Maintaining machinery, removing swarf and routine oiling/greasing etc
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Ensure full PPE is worn and always work in a safe manner, with consideration for other employees
- Complies with all Company rules including all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Experience of Setting and Operating CNC Lathes or CNC Turning machines
- CNC Turner on Fanuc controls
- Program editing experience desirable
- Able to quality check own parts
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines with a high level of quality standards achieved
- Motivated and excellent team player
- Able to commute to the Northampton area
The Package:
- Starting salary £17-£18 Per Hour Depending on Experience
- Regular Overtime paid at time and a half
- Pension scheme
- Day shifts are Mon – Fri 6:30 to 15:00
- Late shifts are 14:00-22:00 (Occasionally required during busy times)
- Holidays - 28 Days Including Statutory Bank Holidays, rising by 1 day per year after 5 years service up to 33 days
- Death in Service Insurance
- Non-contractual Company bonus scheme
