Are you an experienced Fire & Smoke Curtain Installer with experience leading installation teams?

Have you installed smoke and fire curtain systems and enjoy working on high-profile projects?

Our client is looking for a Lead Fire & Smoke Curtain Installer to oversee the installation of fire and smoke curtain systems across Central London.

This is a hands-on position where you'll lead a small team while carrying out installations to a high standard.

Experience installing Coopers Fire Curtains would be a distinct advantage, although candidates with experience installing other manufacturers' fire and smoke curtain systems are also encouraged to apply.

The Role of Fire Curtain Fitter

Working across commercial offices, retail developments, industrial sites and residential buildings, you'll be responsible for delivering installations ranging from single doorway fire curtains through to large smoke containment systems around atriums and escalators.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Leading a small installation team on site
  • Installing fire and smoke curtain systems
  • Reading and interpreting installation drawings
  • Liaising with site managers and customers
  • Ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and to a high standard
  • Supporting and mentoring junior fitters and labourers
  • Working at height using appropriate access equipment
  • Travelling to Central London projects on a daily basis

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience installing fire and smoke curtain systems
  • Experience leading or supervising installation teams
  • Experience installing Coopers Fire Curtains would be highly advantageous
  • Experience with other fire curtain manufacturers will also be considered
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • CSCS Card
  • Comfortable working at height
  • Strong mechanical installation skills
  • Reliable with good communication skills
  • IPAF & PASMA (desirable)
  • NVQ or relevant trade qualification (desirable)

Salary & Benefits

  • £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
  • Monday-Friday, 40-hour week (7:00am-3:00pm or 8:00am-4:00pm)
