You will investigate engineering failures across industrial, commercial and domestic environments, analysing everything from machinery breakdowns and structural failures to electrical incidents, fires and process failures. Every investigation is different. Every conclusion must be evidence-based.

The Role

  • Attend live incident sites across a wide range of industries
  • Investigate engineering failures, accidents and major losses
  • Examine damaged equipment, systems and structures
  • Collect, preserve and analyse technical evidence
  • Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical, electrical and industrial failures
  • Work alongside insurers, legal professionals and technical specialists
  • Analyse failure mechanisms, sequences of events and contributing factors
  • Produce detailed technical reports and findings
  • Communicate conclusions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support litigation and expert witness work where required
