Are you a technically minded sales professional who enjoys getting out in front of customers, understanding their problems, and helping deliver practical engineering solutions? We are working with a long-established, privately owned engineering business in Lincolnshire that is looking to add a Sales Engineer to its team. This is a hands-on sales role covering industrial pumps, valves, repairs, refurbishments and wider engineering solutions.
You will be working with both new and existing customers, carrying out site visits, understanding technical requirements, preparing quotes and helping secure profitable work for the business. This would suit someone who enjoys a mix of customer contact, technical problem solving and commercial responsibility.
The role will involve:
- Developing new business opportunities across engineering and industrial sectors
- Managing and growing relationships with existing customers
- Visiting customer sites to understand requirements and identify solutions
- Preparing quotations, proposals and technical information
- Working closely with engineers, workshop teams and senior management
- Negotiating scope, pricing and terms with customers
- Managing your own diary, visits and sales activity
- Representing the business professionally at customer meetings and industry events
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience in sales within engineering, pumps, valves, mechanical services or a similar technical environment
- The ability to build strong customer relationships
- Confidence discussing technical requirements with customers
- Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Strong organisation and CRM/reporting discipline
- A full UK driving licence
Package:
- £40,000 to £45,000 basic salary
