We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Safety Compliance Consultant to join a leading engineering compliance consultancy. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for ensuring machinery and equipment compliance with a variety of international regulatory standards, advising clients, maintaining technical competencies across the Group’s worldwide operations, and contributing to international expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct mechanical and electrical safety assessments and risk evaluations on machinery and equipment.
- Generate detailed reports and documentation, including presentations for senior management.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance within UK, EU, and US frameworks.
- Engage with clients at all levels, from on-site personnel to executive leadership.
- Work with consultants across the wider Group to ensure the required technical competencies are maintained and developed.
- Stay up to date with evolving regulatory changes and industry standards, and where necessary, communicate developments to colleagues across the Group.
- Adapt to shifting client demands and diverse project requirements.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed for on-site assessments.
- Strong communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt and solve problems in dynamic regulatory environments.
- Intellectual curiosity with a desire to expand knowledge in compliance and engineering.
- Balanced approach to technical expertise and commercial awareness.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical engineering principles (preferably electrical).
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 12100:2010.
- Knowledge of US regulatory frameworks is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Candidates with a Mechanical Engineering degree will also be valued, provided they have demonstrable professional experience in electrical engineering.
- Additional certifications in safety engineering are advantageous.
- Several years of experience in compliance consulting, engineering safety, or regulatory assessment.
- Experience in a consultancy setting or working with compliance bodies is beneficial.
