Precision for Medicine is hiring a Project Manager, Central Laboratory Services to work remotely from Poland, Serbia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Spain or UK.
Position Summary
This role will lead new and existing CRO laboratory projects across a range of disciplines, focusing on accelerating the development and adoption of novel therapeutics. The position involves assay development, clinical testing, biorepository/sample management, logistics, and kitting for client studies worldwide. It is a client‑facing role that translates project plans into action, ensuring client satisfaction and delivering results.
Leads and manages all aspects of designated protocols and is accountable for overall project performance and client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle of assigned projects. Provides internal consulting on project management issues, identifies opportunities for process and efficiency improvement, and serves as the cross‑functional lead for assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from conception through close‑out, ensuring detailed planning, execution, risk management, communication, stakeholder management, scope and cost control.
- Perform analysis of moderate‑scope problems, reviewing a variety of factors and data.
- Navigate ambiguity with a system and process‑oriented mindset to support continuous improvement.
- Develop professional expertise, applying company policies and procedures to resolve issues.
- Manage contacts both internal and external with clients/vendors on routine matters.
- Build productive internal and external working relationships.
- Receive general or detailed instructions depending on project complexity.
- Exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action.
- Create and manage project timelines, budgets, and revenue goals, forecasting, and resource plans.
- Maintain detailed daily coordination and supervision of scheduled activities, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
- Act as the face of the company, leading the implementation of new and ongoing studies.
- Coordinate development and implementation of new projects and track progress.
- Communicate with clients and collaborators regarding data management, inventory control, shipping procedures, etc.
- Respond in a timely manner to all events, coordinate data gathering, and prepare project information for internal and external meetings.
- Meet all revenue and billing objectives; evaluate project budgets monthly and report variances.
- Create, track, and report relevant metrics for business and project measurement.
- Assist senior staff and identify out‑of‑scope work, escalating findings and action plans.
- Manage tasks efficiently and timely to meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Review, update, and evolve all documentation to approvable status.
- Assess and mitigate technical, project, and business risks.
- Ensure compliance with design and performance standards, regulatory environment, and client expectations.
- Resolve operational issues and adjust priorities to meet deadlines.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field (e.g., engineering).
- Experience working as a Project Manager for Central Laboratories at a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotech company.
- Excellent listening and communication skills; ability to make colleagues and clients feel understood.
