Support North Northants is a VCSE-led community wellbeing service. Our motto is simple: we don't give up on people. We bring together voluntary, statutory and private sector partners to ensure vulnerable people get the right support, first time — and only have to tell their story once.

The Role

You’ll strengthen connections between local communities and support services, championing inclusive, person-centred approaches. Through proactive engagement and outreach, you’ll connect with individuals and groups who face barriers to accessing services, raise awareness of available support, and ensure that seldom-heard community voices are heard and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up outreach sessions in community venues to make the service accessible
  • Building strong relationships with residents, community groups, and partners
  • Carrying out person-centred conversations and developing support plans
  • Developing understanding of barriers faced by seldom-heard and underrepresented groups
  • Working with statutory and voluntary partners to develop sustainable solutions
  • Engaging with diverse communities and ensuring their voices influence service development
  • Championing equality, diversity, inclusion and community empowerment

About You

  • Experience building positive relationships with people, communities and partners
  • Experience of community engagement, outreach or community development work
  • Knowledge of the barriers preventing people from accessing services
  • Knowledge of challenges faced by disadvantaged, marginalised or under-represented communities
  • Experience supporting people with diverse needs in a person-centred, strengths-based way
  • Experience working independently and managing competing priorities
  • Committed to EDI and anti-discriminatory practice
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and case management systems
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
