Hours: 15–18 hours per week, flexible. Includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Pay: £18.61 per hour (includes holiday pay)

About us
Rother Street Arts House is a community arts charity in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. Our motto is “Creative Engagement for Everyone.” We host local talent and touring shows: theatre, music, comedy, family shows and community events. Over the festive season we need two people to help keep the venue busy, welcoming and safe.
The role
You’ll often be the first person hirers and audiences meet. You’ll support events from booking right through to get-out. You will:
- Duty manage performances and events, including front of house briefings and incident response
- Welcome visiting companies and support get-ins and get-outs
- Help with opening and closing the building, box office, bar, café and front of house
- Work with the Artistic Director and Technical Manager to plan and run events for up to 700 people
- Follow health and safety, safeguarding and licensing requirements
- Help promote the venue and its festive programme
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a similar venue, events or customer-facing role
- Confidence with tech, especially Excel and QuickBooks
- Able to pick up ticketing systems like Ticketsolve quickly
- Calm under pressure, well organised and a strong team player
- Knowledge of venue safety, fire safety and safeguarding
- An interest in the arts and the local community
Training in first aid, fire safety, food hygiene, personal licence or Challenge 25 would be a bonus. If you don’t have it, we just need you to be willing to learn.
