Most Marketing Director roles ask you to execute a predefined vision. This one's different: you'll take the beginnings of a strategy and a very talented creative team that already exist, sharpen the direction, and build the structure to scale both. Reporting directly to our founders, you'll drive customer acquisition and retention, continue to build real brand equity, and keep us on an exciting growth trajectory. And we are growing fast, which means things move quickly around here. Our roles will evolve over time, and while the key responsibilities are outlined below, there may be changes as we grow. We're looking for someone who’s up for that kind of pace and flexibility - someone who’s keen to roll up their sleeves and grow with us.
What You’ll Do
- Own our marketing strategy - set the direction across brand, customer and commercial goals, then bring it to life
- Design and roll-out annual and multi-year marketing roadmaps with clear KPIs to support our growth targets
- Oversee all marketing operations and activations across the PF&H group
- Lead a talented marketing department and create an environment where they feel inspired to deliver the best work of their careers
- Build trusted relationships with athletes, agencies, partners and suppliers, and set the standard for how we show up externally
- Spot and chase new market and growth opportunities before anyone else gets there
- Use customer insight, data and commercial performance to make informed strategic decisions
- Drive customer acquisition, retention and lifetime value across every channel we run
- Play an active role within the leadership team and have a genuine say in where the wider business is going
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience leading marketing teams within high-growth businesses
- Proven success setting strategy and delivering against it
- Enjoys working at pace and comfortable leading through change
- No stranger to scaling brands internationally and across multiple markets
- Great with people - you build strong relationships with ease, and are able to set direction while maintaining high standards
- Happy to travel (often internationally) and work the odd weekend or late night when events or activations call for it
Nice To Have
- A strong preference for experience in the direct-to-consumer e-commerce space
- Hopefully you like endurance sports – plenty of our team run marathons, do triathlons or ride bikes up mountains for fun. It helps if our world genuinely interests you.
