Responsibilities
- Deliver holistic cancer support virtually via video, phone and messaging
- Provide patients and families with trusted clinical, emotional, and practical guidance
- Conduct consultations, reviews, and follow-ups creating personalised support plans
- Prepare patients for treatments, debrief afterwards, and ensure confidence at every stage
- Share evidence-based information to empower informed decision‑making
- Contribute to service innovation, continuous improvement, and patient engagement
Qualifications
- NMC registration
- 3+ years experience supporting cancer patients
- Certificate in SACT (Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy) administration
- Knowledge of cancer pathways, treatment side‑effects, and NICE guidelines
- Strong communication skills and confidence with IT systems
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to thrive in a virtual cancer care environment
- Experience in palliative care, psychological support, or cancer screening programmes would be an advantage but is not essential.
