Manufacturing Engineer

Salary: £40,000£50,000 per annum

Precise Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking experienced Manufacturing Engineers for current and upcoming opportunities in Birmingham .
The successful candidate will develop and improve manufacturing processes, increase productivity, improve quality and reduce waste, costs and production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and improve manufacturing processes.
Identify opportunities to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
Produce process instructions and technical documentation.
Support new-product introduction and product changes.
Improve tooling, jigs, fixtures and production layouts.
Conduct process studies, time studies and root-cause analysis.
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Reduce waste, scrap, rework and manufacturing downtime.
Work closely with production, maintenance and quality teams.
Apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
Ensure processes meet quality and health and safety standards.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Manufacturing, Process or Production Engineer.
Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement.
Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Knowledge of CAD, ERP or manufacturing systems would be beneficial.
An HNC, HND, degree or equivalent engineering qualification is preferred.
