Engineering Manager Manufacturing
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £55,000£65,000 per annum

Precise Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking experienced Engineering Managers for current and upcoming manufacturing opportunities in Birmingham
The successful candidate will lead the engineering function, manage maintenance activities and ensure that plant, machinery and equipment operate safely, reliably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Manage planned and preventative maintenance programmes.
Reduce machinery downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Manage engineering projects from planning through to completion.
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage engineering budgets, contractors and suppliers.
Conduct root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety and engineering regulations.
Work closely with production, quality and senior management.
Monitor engineering performance against agreed KPIs.
Candidate Requirements
Previous Engineering Manager experience within manufacturing.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering knowledge.
Experience managing engineers, technicians or maintenance teams.
Good understanding of planned and preventative maintenance.
Proven experience reducing downtime and improving performance.
Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
An HNC, HND, degree or equivalent engineering qualification would be advantageous.
