We are currently recruiting for an experienced Laser / Press Brake Programmer, Setter & Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company in the West Midlands. This is a hands-on role ideal for a skilled operator with experience in CNC laser cutting and press brake machinery. You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating machines to produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programming CNC laser cutting machines
  • Setting and operating laser and press brake machines
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Loading materials onto the laser bed (forklift experience desirable)
  • Checking and adjusting machine settings before production
  • Ensuring all cuts are accurate and burr-free
  • Inspecting finished components to ensure quality standards
  • Folding parts using CNC press brake
  • Troubleshooting minor machine faults
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Working to production targets and deadlines

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Laser Operator / Press Brake Operator
  • Experience with CNC programming
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Reliable with excellent time-keeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
