We are working with an extremely entrepreneurial Insurance Broker who are looking for a new Infrastructure Engineer - DevOps to join their team on a permanent basis. The firm have a very steady flow of integration related projects as they continue to expand their operations. They are constantly expanding and as a result require new bolstering within their Infrastructure teams. This role will have a focus on DevOps and is open to people who are still eager to learn and develop their skills.
If you wish to be considered for this position, you should have:
- Ideally some experience within DevOps or DevOps related tech (CI/CD, Scripting such as Python, Terraform, Git etc.)
- Ideal but not required professional services experience
- Relevant qualifications for DevOps or tech
Responsibilities:
- You will oversee the day-to-day operations of SRG’s infrastructure ensuring good performance and reliability of all systems.
- You will provide operational reporting for the IT Operations Manager.
- You will build and maintain relationships with 3rd party suppliers for services such as IaaS managed printing and software vendors.
- You will perform computer/server and software installations.
- You will support the ongoing maintenance and stability of IT Services.
- You will perform scheduled maintenance and other tasks, often outside of normal business hours.
- You will ensure the IT system, standards and procedures are maintained throughout the business.
- You will solve systems issues and monitor various systems and activities.
- You will help produce and maintain clear and accurate systems documentation for work undertaken by the IT team and in production of user guidance and instructions.
- You will engage with various IT Projects including Acquisition Integrations.
- You will provide technical escalation support to the Service Desk team where necessary.
- You will proactively explore new technologies and investigate how they may be utilized within the company.
- You will potentially need to work within a shift pattern to cover 07:30 - 17:30 operating window with out of hours as required (overtime pay offered).
