ABOUT THE ROLE

A Senior SEO Strategist is a SEO expert, developing and implementing impactful SEO tactics and clear outcomes in client collaborations. With deep technical and operational knowledge, this role drives innovation, initiating continuous testing and optimisation, and conducting thorough analysis to derive actionable insights. In collaboration with clients and team members, the Senior SEO Specialist addresses complex challenges with SEO‑specific expertise, transforming them into solutions that contribute to the overarching strategic direction. Integral to the role is the ability to share knowledge and maintain a standard of SEO excellence within the team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Lead the tactical & operational management within SEO, ensuring flawless execution and detailed performance analysis in client collaborations.
  • Direct advanced testing and optimisation initiatives within SEO, applying deep expertise to enhance effectiveness and meet client KPIs.
  • Conduct in-depth SEO analysis and audits to identify opportunities for improving brand strength and performance metrics in organic and AI generated search.
  • Advocate for and execute on cross‑solution synergy projects to impact overall client performance (e.g. paid and organic media or SEO and CRO).
  • Manage commercial activities that contribute to the growth of the SEO business.
  • Provide clients with concise, actionable recommendations based on data‑driven insights, advising and consulting on strategic decisions that connect to the broader client objectives.
  • Promote a collaborative environment, leading by example in integrating SEO‑specific insights with cross‑functional team efforts to enhance the overall client experience and success.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing & mentor other specialists, providing guidance on SEO‑specific tactics and fostering an environment of continuous learning.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Deep knowledge of all three pillars of SEO (Technical, Content & Authority) as well as LLM optimisation, and how they integrate with and impact the overall marketing strategies.
  • Excellent hands‑on proficiency in utilising SEO tools & platforms (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog or similar) to tailor SEO strategies for brand and performance objectives.
  • Advanced technical acumen in diagnosing and solving complex SEO‑related issues, ensuring high‑quality operations and tactical integrity.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data across both SEO & analytics platforms (e.g. GA4) and use insights to drive continuous optimisation and achieve better outcomes.
  • Proficiency in crafting and applying effective testing tactics to discover innovative solutions and boost overall SEO efforts.
  • A high level of commercial awareness and a track record of financial growth.
  • Experienced in communicating complex ideas clearly, both in presentations and through collaborative discussions.
  • Strong mentoring skills, with a focus on sharing knowledge and fostering a learning environment within the team.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Looker Studio) and ability to present insights in an engaging and understandable manner.
  • In addition to your specialisation in SEO, you should remain comfortable with CRO / UX strategies and tactics and be able to drive initiatives towards clients.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish.
