We are seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team and to lead our under 2's room (known as Caterpillars). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love and passion for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages the development of young minds. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of children aged 0-5 years. Experience of leading a team would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on, develop and implement engaging experiences tailored to the needs of each child.
- Work closely with the room team, other supervisors and managers.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and wellbeing.
- Lead room team meetings and partake in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Early Years and Childcare / Early Years Educator (to at least level 3 or equivalent).
- Specific under 2's training is advantageous.
- Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support staff members within the room team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
- A genuine passion for early years education and the ability to engage children effectively.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in early years education practices.
As our employee you will receive a thorough induction, a kind, caring and supportive management team and opportunities for continual professional development while working in a friendly and calm environment. The right person for the role should be qualified to at least level 3 in Early Years and Childcare / Early Years Educator with ideally, specific under 2's training and able to work flexibly between 7.15am and 6.15pm Monday to Friday.
