We are currently recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our friendly and dedicated team in Milton Keynes supporting adults with autism and learning disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering person-centred care and has previous experience working in a senior or acting senior role within health and social care.

Pay Rate: £13.32 per hour

About the Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will support adults with autism and learning disabilities to live independently, safely, and confidently within their home and community. You will lead shifts, support staff members, and ensure high standards of care are maintained at all times.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Acting Senior
  • Experience supporting adults with autism and learning disabilities
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach
  • Must be fully flexible to work all day shifts between 7:30am and 10:00pm, including weekends and bank holidays where required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate shifts and take part in on call duties
  • Support service users with daily living tasks and community activities
  • Administer and record medication
  • Complete care documentation and incident reports
  • Support and mentor support staff
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
