Location: London – Covering East London, Wembley, and Wood Green

Salary: £36,940.80 (with optional paid overtime) and emergency call outs

As part of Precious, a company dedicated to empowering individuals with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and other complex needs, you will play a key role in ensuring the environment we provide is safe, secure, and comfortable.

Key Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 2 years' experience with no more than 3 points) – to drive our company van.
  • Experience in Maintenance – Familiarity with a wide range of maintenance tasks and the ability to work autonomously.
  • A proactive, solution-focused attitude and a commitment to quality.

Your Role:

In this hands-on role, you will be the backbone of our maintenance services, ensuring the environment is well-maintained and any issues are swiftly dealt with. From carrying out routine repairs to liaising with contractors, your efforts will directly impact the comfort and wellbeing of the individuals we support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Manage consumables and stock to ensure everything is available when needed.
  • Provide accurate specifications of work, including timeframes and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with contractors where applicable to assist with required quotes for further scope of works.
  • Keep safety a top priority by identifying and reporting any hazards.
  • To carry out emergency calls outside of normal working hours (if available, for emergencies only, paid at an enhanced rate).
  • Track purchases and expenses, ensuring accurate reporting of funds.
  • Use a PDA to manage job tasks, track progress, and sign off completed work.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and transport used for work.
