A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join our existing team of engineers in our facility. As a Quality Engineer, you will be working in conjunction with Project Engineers and Section Leaders, reporting directly to the Quality Management, and ultimately the Company Directors. You should have a good working experience of Quality Management processes (preferably to QMS standard AS9100), especially in the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning, Part Production Advanced Planning and Risk Management techniques.

Quality Engineer will be involved with:

  • Liaising with Project Engineers in the Quality Aspects of New Product Development.
  • Quality assurance for commercial products manufactured throughout the company.
  • This will be a customer facing role, you will be the key customer interface regarding all quality issues.
  • Performing Advanced Quality Planning along with the Risk Management of Product Introduction.
  • Writing and Implementing Quality Plans for Production Readiness.
  • Performing Physical Component Proving.
  • Component Verification to Customer Supplied Drawings and Specification.
  • Analysing and Problem Solving Non-conforming Items.
  • Health, Safety and Environment compliance.

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:

  • A good leadership skills and a good communicator.
  • Experience of working to the Quality Management Standard ISO9001.
  • Experience of working in a New Product Introduction environment.
  • Working knowledge and experience of APQP & PPAP.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Problem Solving techniques.

Preferred knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Experience of working to the AS9100 Aerospace Industry standard.
  • Experience of working to Aerospace OEM requirements such as, Rolls Royce SABRe.
