What you will be doing
- Oversee daily operations within the Probate department, ensuring the delivery of the firm's renowned service.
- Lead and develop a team of Legal Advisors, ensuring targets are met, standards upheld, and clients receive compassionate, efficient support.
- Combine technical supervision with strategic leadership, working closely with other managers to optimise departmental performance.
- Manage and motivate a team of up to 8 Probate Legal Advisors, fostering a positive, high-performing environment.
- Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and identify training needs to support team development.
- Provide technical supervision, reviewing cases and ensuring advice remains compliant and of high standard.
- Monitor workflow, manage client expectations, and address any service issues promptly.
- Contribute to departmental planning, recruitment, and client service strategies.
- Ensure all team members adhere to SRA regulations and internal legal standards.
- Support client complaint resolution and encourage feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge to guide team practice and ensure compliance with changing legislation.
What we are looking for

- Qualified Solicitor (practising certificate current) or Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEx).
