We’re looking for a Team Leader to join our Warehouse team in Derby. This is a great opportunity for someone ready for a change of scenery, or for those wanting to step into a people management and leadership position. The role involves a mix of AM and PM shifts, with some weekend work, and offers the chance to truly make the space your own. We’re looking for someone who wants to shape the future of our warehouse, lead a great team, and optimise processes so we can continue to deliver a slick, reliable service to both our internal and external customers.

Role Purpose

  • To lead a team of warehouse operatives to deliver the warehouse objectives.
  • To deliver swift and accurate stock management activities for the business.
  • To maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Warehouse Management System.
  • To deliver on-the-job training to continually develop the team.
  • To maintain the excellent Health & Safety record for the site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the warehouse team to deliver against the Customer service requirements.
  • Co-ordinate the receiving, checking and sorting of newly delivered goods from our suppliers.
  • Co-ordinate the processing of field-returns from our engineers.
  • Co-ordinating the order picking schedule to meet customer expectations.
  • Supervise the packing of orders to ensure safe delivery of the item to our engineers.
  • Support the dispatching of orders to our wide range of couriers and hauliers.
  • Manage the overall space of the warehouse, relocating and rearranging stock to ensure space is being used efficiently.
  • Perform quality checks on the end-to-end process, making recommendations on areas for improvement.
  • Own the design and delivery of staff training with the intent to continually improve performance.
  • Manage the WEEE recycling activity as required by the business.
  • Manage the scheduling and implementation of the stock cycle count programme.
  • Support the customer stock return processes in line with agreed procedures.
  • Operating mechanical handling equipment in line with duties.
  • Operate waste compacting and storage equipment.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse to the required standards.
