We are seeking Support Workers for our Supported Living Services in Accrington and surrounding areas. The role will involve providing care and personalised support to individuals to improve their health and wellbeing and to develop their quality of life and independence. This will include support with activities in the home and in the wider community, building connections and relationships with others. You will enable individuals to make choices, to have control over their lives and to enjoy opportunities for personal development.
Prior experience of supporting people with a learning disability and/or autism is valuable for this Support Worker role. As a Precedo Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals including:
- Assist with daily living activities and personal care tasks
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Assist with individual care plans and support goals
- Monitor and document individual progress and behaviours
- Assist with medication administration as needed
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure holistic care
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with service users and colleagues and you must have a good standard of written English in order to contribute to written records. You must be able to work shifts and be flexible and reliable.
