The Electrical Supervisor at PREAH Building Services is responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of electrical works on active construction sites. This is a site-based role, leading a small team of electricians to ensure the effective execution of electrical installations and maintenance. The Supervisor will coordinate site activities, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain high-quality workmanship throughout the project lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Supervision
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of electricians on site to deliver electrical installations efficiently and safely.
- Allocate daily tasks, manage work schedules, and monitor team productivity and performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members as required.
- Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Managers and other trades to ensure seamless site operations and project progress.
- Report on work progress, challenges, and resourcing needs to senior management.
- Assist in planning and sequencing of electrical work in accordance with project timelines.
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality and compliance of electrical works.
- Ensure installations meet relevant standards, drawings, and specifications.
- Address and rectify any non-compliance or substandard workmanship.
- Health & Safety
- Enforce and maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations on site.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure the team follows appropriate safety procedures and uses correct PPE.
- Report incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Material & Resource Management
- Monitor material usage and coordinate with procurement or site management to ensure timely availability of supplies.
- Keep records of materials used and report shortages or excesses.
- Ensure tools and equipment are used properly and maintained in good condition.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Senior Electrician in commercial or construction settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, and installation techniques.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining productivity and morale.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and site procedures.
- Relevant certifications such as ECS/CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Working Conditions
This is a site-based role operating on active construction sites. The Electrical Supervisor must be prepared to work outdoors, at heights, or in confined spaces depending on project requirements. Occasional travel between sites may be required.
