A welcoming and faith-centred Catholic Primary School in Ealing is seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from March. This role is suitable for experienced teachers or ECTs who are committed to inclusive education and willing to actively support the Catholic ethos of the school.

The school is built on strong Christian values, with a caring and supportive community where pupils are encouraged to grow academically, socially and spiritually within a nurturing and respectful environment.

The Role

  • Full responsibility for a Year 2 class
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and faith-led classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social, emotional and spiritual development
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, leaders, families and the wider parish community

Who This Role Is Suitable For

  • Practising Catholic teachers or teachers willing to support the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Experienced Year 2 or KS1 teachers
  • ECTs seeking a supportive maternity placement in a faith-based setting
  • Teachers committed to nurturing the whole child through strong values and high expectations

Requirements

  • QTS (or working towards QTS as an ECT)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, including during training placements
  • Ability to promote Gospel values and support Catholic life within the school
  • Strong classroom practice and positive behaviour management
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
