To grow membership and to maximise engagement between the association and its members and partners.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing the PRCA’s membership engagement programme and CRM system.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing members in person, and via telephone calls and emails.
- Developing and delivering new membership marketing strategies to achieve annual numerical and financial targets.
- Ensuring that the membership offer is attractive and appropriate in order to support recruitment and retention.
- Where necessary, re-selling the benefits of PRCA membership to members and dealing with possible objections.
- Representing the PRCA at events and speaker engagements.
- Attending work and industry events both in working hours and in evenings.
- Deputising for the CEO where necessary.
- Recruitment, management, training and motivation of the PRCA’s membership team. This encompasses membership retention, marketing and project management.
- Overall responsibility for membership and partnership finances, budgets, and membership debt management.
- Line management responsibilities for the Head of Membership, Head of Engagement, Matchmaker & Commercial Consultant and CMS Auditor.
- Responsibility for retention of PRCA UK membership and Partnership activity (Individual, Corporate Consultancy, Corporate In-house, University Partnerships and Partners).
- Overall responsibility for marketing of membership and business services, including competitor analysis, database management, membership and business services sections of the PRCA website, PRCA membership and business services placements on external websites, telemarketing, direct marketing, email marketing, advertising, print and design.
- Overall responsibility for PRCA’s Business Services – Matchmaker and CMS - plus the development of new products and services.
- Assist in the retention of PRCA Global members.
- Part of the PRCA’s Senior Management Team, planning and implementing strategies to meet corporate goals.
- Reporting membership progress and status when requested, creating reports for the PRCA Management Board, with line management to the PRCA CEO.
- Attract and manage new and existing Commercial Partners.
- Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities considered appropriate by the management of the Company.
Qualifications and / or Experience Required:
- Management experience.
- Problem solving and negotiation skills.
- An understanding of membership organisations is preferable, but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent sales and marketing skills.
- Excellent technology skills.
- Proven people management skills.
- A positive, confident and determined approach.
- A high degree of self-motivation and ambition.
- A good level of numeracy.
- Good presentation and appearance.
Terms of Appointment/Remuneration:
- The role is based in London but requires travel around the UK and occasionally internationally. Attendance at evening events is also required.
- Financial package in the range £75K - £80K.
- Company Pension.
- 27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
