The Federation of British Artists at Mall Galleries is seeking an efficient, driven, and personable Exhibitions Coordinator to assist with the administration of its member society exhibitions and events, as well as special initiatives, such as artist bursaries, residencies and scholarships.

This role is a crucial part of a busy Exhibitions & Events department. The postholder will work on the exhibitions and events of the FBA member art societies, plus special initiatives with the Head of FBA Exhibitions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and Scheduling
  • Exhibition Installation and De-Installation
  • Private Views and Events
  • Assist the Head of FBA Exhibitions with special initiatives, for example the Hesketh Hubbard Bursaries, Crinan Residency, etc.
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Take on other tasks as reasonably expected

Experience Required:

  • Experience of working in an arts context
  • Planning and coordination of exhibitions and events
  • Accurate data entry, capture and reporting
  • Experience of using website content management systems to publish engaging content
  • Experience with e-commerce

Skills Required:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Close attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills

The salary for this post is £27,000-£29,000. You will receive 26 days pro rata paid annual leave plus the 3 days between Christmas and New Year, a 3% contribution to a personal pension scheme, and staff discount on selected artworks displayed at Mall Galleries.
