About the Role:
We are looking for a Procurement Manager to provide strategic oversight and drive the procurement function across our portfolio.
The successful person will be responsible for developing the first Procurement Strategy, ensuring a consistent and appropriate approach to procurement, providing expertise to FM teams, Property Managers and Asset Managers. You will be the subject matter expert for procurement within Praxis and will be expected to undertake and lead on a wide range of initiatives to manage the entire lifecycle of sourcing and procurement projects across Praxis Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage procurement arrangements across the portfolio, ensuring optimal supplier engagement.
- Lead tender processes, leveraging the scale of the portfolio for cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure supplier performance, innovation, and cost-saving opportunities are maximised.
- Support the delivery of ESG measurement and reporting to key stakeholders.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role in the real estate sector, or related sector.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to align procurement strategies with asset management goals.
- Comprehensive understanding of RICS standards, stakeholder management, and compliance.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on driving innovation and cost efficiency.
- Comfortable with navigating ambiguity and implementing proportionate structure and processes.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Financially literate with the ability to identify opportunities for cost savings and quantify improvements over time.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks on a day-to-day basis whilst ensuring longer term workstreams and KPI-related deadlines are planned for.
- Demonstrate a passion to ‘solve’ problems and design solutions.
- An ability and willingness to share knowledge and solutions with peers and throughout the Praxis team.
- A collaborative, positive approach to working with all teams within Praxis.
