Main Purpose
The Senior HR Advisor will provide hands-on, operational HR support across Praxis Group, with a primary focus on employee relations, case management, and transactional HR activity. Reporting directly to the Director – Human Resources, the role will act as the main point of contact for managers on day-to-day people matters, ensuring consistent, pragmatic and legally compliant people management across both operational (PFM) and corporate functions. The role is delivery-focused, with responsibility for managing ER cases, advising managers, supporting organisational change activity (including TUPE), and ensuring HR processes are applied effectively in practice. This is a practical, high-volume role suited to an experienced HR generalist who enjoys execution and working closely with the business.

Main Duties
- Act as the primary point of contact for managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, absence, flexible working and capability cases
- Provide pragmatic, commercially aware HR advice to managers across Praxis Group, including both site-based operational teams and corporate functions
- Lead and manage complex employee relations cases end-to-end, including investigations, hearings, documentation and outcomes, with escalation as required
- Manage and support TUPE transfers and post-transfer integration activity, working closely with operational stakeholders and the wider HR team
- Support organisational change activity, including restructures, role changes, and consultation processes
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation across the business
- Maintain accurate case management records and provide regular updates and reporting
- Support people processes such as probation management, performance reviews, and disciplinary frameworks, ensuring managers understand and apply these effectively
- Deliver practical guidance and training for managers on core people management topics (absence, performance, conduct and probation), using Group templates and processes
- Provide HR management information and case data to support operational and risk-based decision-making
- Work closely with site teams and line managers to ensure accurate and timely processing of starters, leavers, contractual changes and employee data, in coordination with the HR Advisor and HR Administrator
- Travel to sites across the UK to support managers and ER activity, including occasional out-of-hours support for operational teams
- Escalate high-risk or sensitive employee relations matters to the Director – Human Resources and ensure alignment on risk appetite and approach
Personal Qualities, Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor or operational HR Manager role, ideally within facilities management, property, security, cleaning, retail, or a multi-site environment
- Strong practical knowledge of UK employment law with demonstrable experience managing complex ER cases end-to-end
- Experience of TUPE transfers and supporting consultation and integration activity
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge managers in a pragmatic and professional manner
- Highly organised with strong case management, prioritisation and time management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment with competing priorities
- Commercially aware, with the ability to balance legal risk with business practicality
- Data-literate, with experience producing HR reports and management information
- Willing to travel regularly across the UK and work flexibly to support operational teams
