Job summary

This role is a great stepping stone for those who are studying towards an Accounting qualification.

The role involves the day to day responsibility of a small portfolio of clients plus providing oversight and assistance to junior team members if appropriate.

Job Accountabilities

  • The preparation of a small portfolio of financial statements.
  • Assistance to junior team members in resolving simple queries.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reporting to include, but not limited to, management accounts, loan interest schedules and asset statements.
  • Work closely with the Team to provide support where necessary.
  • Liaison with clients and their professional representatives either directly or via the trust administration teams, as required, on accounting related matters if requested.
  • Build morale and team spirit by actively championing the company's values and promoting a culture of professionalism, teamwork and leadership.
  • Shape own development by identifying areas to improve own knowledge and skills and actively seek assistance.
  • Minimum Education & Experience
  • Part ACCA qualified
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Trust and Company accounts preparation.
  • Required Skills
  • Experience with IFRS, FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A accounts.
  • Ability to prepare accounts of a moderately simple nature for Trusts and Companies.
  • Excellent numeracy and computer skills, particularly working knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
  • A highly organised and detail-oriented professional.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive 'can do' attitude together with the ability to work to deadlines
