Central London (Zone 1) – Primary Building
Virtual oversight of secondary building (Zone 2)
Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 5:30pm)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Building Manager & Front of House (FOH) to take full-time responsibility for a flagship Central London building, with additional virtual oversight of a secondary building as required.
This is a client-facing, hands-on role requiring exceptional customer service, strong tenant engagement skills, and confidence in contractor management. A solid understanding of building systems and compliance requirements is also important.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is proactive, resilient and comfortable working independently. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll need to take ownership, identify issues and find practical solutions rather than waiting for direction.
The environment won’t always be perfect, so you’ll need to be comfortable coming into a role where there is work to do, bringing structure where needed and making things happen with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Front of House & Customer Experience
- Act as the primary front‑of‑house presence, delivering a five‑star customer and tenant experience
- Build strong, professional relationships with occupiers, visitors, and stakeholders
- Manage tenant engagement, communications, and day‑to‑day enquiries
- Represent the building to the highest standard at all times
Building Management
- Take full operational responsibility for the primary building
- Oversee a secondary building remotely, coordinating remedial actions as required
- Monitor building condition and proactively identify issues
Contractor & Maintenance Management
- Manage contractors on‑site, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
- Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance
- Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and site procedures
Building Systems & Compliance
- Demonstrate working knowledge of key systems, including:
- CCTV
- Intercom and access control systems
- Monitor system performance and elevate faults
- Support compliance activities, inspections, and statutory checks
Health, Safety & Risk
- Promote a safe environment for occupiers, visitors, and contractors
- Ensure site procedures, permits, and risk assessments are followed
- Act promptly on any health & safety issues or incidents
Skills & Experience
- Experience in Building Management, FOH, or Facilities Management (commercial preferred)
- Strong customer service and tenant engagement skills
- Confident managing contractors and coordinating site activity
- Good understanding of building systems (CCTV, alarms, intercoms, fire systems)
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently
- Professional, approachable, and calm under pressure
- Highly competitive salary DOE
- Discretionary bonus scheme
- 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays
- Private Medical Insurance (medical history disregarded)
- Annual Dental benefit inclusive of two appointments per year
