Whats the Role:Team Leader What It Takes: An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care. So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential. Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their skills to aid in their independence. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life. Where You Would Work: Larne Supported Living Services Laurel Lodge is set in its own grounds in a quiet location close to Larne town centre and provides supported accommodation to adults with mental health needs. The facility comprises an eight place group house with all bedrooms ensuite and a support staff team available 24 hours a day. There is also a Dispersed Intensively Supported Housing (DISH) providing support to a maximum of 6 individuals in their own homes, within the local community. This service also supports a 16 hour per week Home Response Service to individuals who live in Larne and Carrickfergus. Adjacent to the group house is a block of 4 self-contained flats for a more independent lifestyle. Staff support to these flats is also available from the group house 24 hours a day.
