Team Leader | 3 Months Temporary | Beechcote Supported Living

The Team Leader is an integral part of the support team, responsible for meeting the practical, physical, and emotional needs of the individuals we support within the service. Through a key worker system, they will design individual support programmes and coordinate the delivery of these packages by a group of Support Workers and themselves.

About The Role

• Plan, coordinate, and implement the safe transition of new individuals into the service and community where necessary.
• Liaise with the families of the people we support and relevant members of multi-disciplinary teams, community groups, and voluntary bodies to promote their needs.
• Plan, develop, and implement individual and group programmes of support to enhance and maximize the capabilities and independence of the people we support in the service.
• Coordinate ongoing assessment and review regularly through the completion of suitable assessment models.
• Support the physical, emotional, and personal needs of the people we support, ensuring that work is individual-focused and upholds the principles of respect, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, independence, and choice.
• Ensure that medication is held, stored, and administered according to Praxis Care's Medication Policy and current statutory and legislative procedures.
• Provide effective leadership, supervision, and management to Support Workers, including monitoring time and attendance and participating in any capability, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
• Participate in learning and development as necessary within the organization while identifying and addressing personal development opportunities for themselves and Support Workers.
• Ensure that adequate records are created and maintained, and necessary reports are produced in line with organizational policy and statutory requirements.
• Support the manager with regulatory compliance concerning all regulating bodies.

Requirements of the Role

• Participate in the company appraisal and staff review process.
• Adhere to and model the company values, behaviours, and competencies at all times.
• Engage in formal and informal supervision as required.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations, and policies.
• Take on additional duties of the role and other required duties as necessary.
• Work the necessary hours to fit the needs of the service.
• Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies.

Essential and Desirable Criteria:

Education, Experience & Training Qualifications

• Essential: 2 years experience in a health and social care setting and a commitment to undertake a professional qualification, OR Qualification in: Social Work, First Level Nursing, Allied Health Profession, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care, OR 1 year paid experience in HSC setting with a commitment to undertake a professional qualification and a Psychology Degree.
• Desirable: Experience in mental health or learning disability services.

Required Criteria

• 2 years experience in a health and social care setting and will undertake a professional qualification.
• Qualification in: Social Work, 1st level Nursing, Allied Health Profession, Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care.
• 1 year paid experience in HSC setting with a commitment to undertake a professional qualification and a Psychology Degree.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Desired Criteria

• Experience in leadership or management roles within health and social care.
• Full valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Starting from £27,986.40 per year.
