Whats the Role:Positive Behaviour Support Worker What It Takes: An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care. So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential. Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their skills to aid in their independence. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life. Where You Would Work: Lisburn PBS Service Due to ongoing expansion of this service, we have vacancies available. Lisburn PBS Service is a service which provides person centred support to young adults with complex needs associated with learning disabilities. The individuals may also have autism, and/or mental ill health, and engage in behaviours of concern. Each successful applicant will work as part of a dedicated team to provide a consistently high quality support service within a caring environment. Through a key worker system and use of advanced positive behaviour methodologies, employees will have the opportunity to develop individual programmes of support for the individuals in our services. You will be champions in the positive behaviour support approach, and Praxis Care will support you to attain competence through formal qualifications and experience. We work very much as team and there is always senior staff available for advice and guidance.
