Support Workers are central to Praxis Care's mission of providing quality care to individuals. Each Support Worker is part of a dedicated team that delivers high-quality, reliable support services. We can consider a range of different working patterns, including full time, part time and relief.

  • Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, including assistance with domestic or social skills and personal care.
  • Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programmes.
  • Work with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving situations arising from conflict or challenging behaviours using appropriate techniques and language.
  • Ensure that medication is stored and administered in accordance with Praxis Care's Medication Policy where necessary.
  • Be fully aware of all policies and procedures in place within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring attendance and participation in all related training.
  • Carry out all duties of the post in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations, and policies.

Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies. The above-mentioned duties are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to carry out other duties as necessary. A criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position. Praxis Care adheres to the AccessNI Code of Practice, a copy of which can be made available upon request.
