Praxis Capital Management is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trading Support Analyst to join its London office. This role is critical in supporting the firm’s global trading operation during the US overnight trading window by monitoring the trading lifecycle, overseeing portfolio exposures, and identifying headline or market-moving risks that may impact positions outside US business hours. The position is based in London and is designed to provide seamless operational and risk coverage while US-based investment teams are offline, ensuring continuous oversight of portfolio activity across global markets. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses strong market awareness, and can operate independently while coordinating closely with portfolio managers, traders, operations, and technology teams across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trade Lifecycle Support: Monitor and support the end-to-end trade lifecycle across equities, options, futures, FX, rates, commodities, and other asset classes. Ensure accurate trade capture, allocations, confirmations, and settlement workflows. Investigate and resolve trade breaks, failed settlements, and reconciliation discrepancies. Coordinate with brokers, counterparties, fund administrators, and internal operations teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Portfolio & Headline Risk Monitoring: Monitor portfolio positions and trading activity during the US overnight coverage window. Track global market developments, geopolitical events, earnings releases, macroeconomic announcements, and company-specific headlines that may materially impact portfolio exposures. Escalate material risks, unusual market activity, or breaking news to portfolio managers and senior investment professionals in real time. Assist in monitoring exposure limits, liquidity considerations, and concentration risks across portfolios.
  • Order & Execution Oversight: Oversee open orders and execution activity across trading systems and OMS/EMS platforms. Monitor for execution anomalies, rejected orders, stale positions, or system issues. Ensure trading activity complies with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk parameters.
  • Operational & Technical Coordination: Partner with trading, technology, and middle-office teams to improve operational efficiency and workflow automation. Assist with daily reporting related to positions, P&L, financing, margin, and risk metrics. Participate in testing and implementation of trading system enhancements and operational tools.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in trading support, middle office, operations, or execution services within a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, bank, or asset management environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and the trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes.
  • Experience working with OMS/EMS platforms and market data systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in a real-time market environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Eze, FlexTrade, Fidessa, TT, CQG, or similar trading platforms.
  • Understanding of portfolio risk concepts and market event analysis.
  • Basic SQL, Python, or automation experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience supporting global or cross-time-zone trading desks preferred.
  • Interest in macroeconomic themes, global markets, and event-driven trading environments.

Working Hours

This role is based in London and provides coverage aligned with the US overnight trading and risk monitoring window. The schedule is intended to bridge coverage between Asian/European market activity and the start of the US trading day.
