Reports to: Operations and Fleet Manager Location: Kingsbury, Staffordshire with 2 days a week in Thurrock, Essex Responsibilities: Ensuring legal compliance and safety of all drivers and vehicles Managing HR processes including sickness and absence, grievance and disciplinary procedures Conducting thorough and accurate incident investigations Liaison with unions Implementing measures to ensure adherence to systems of work Conducting toolbox talks, training, and driver engagement at all locations Recruitment and selection of drivers and Traffic office team Managing the service, inspection, and repair of the fleet Driver performance management Managing driver rota and holiday planning Managing the production and compilation of risk assessments for delivery sites Providing leadership and direction to the transport team, including feedback on performance Conducting monthly depot audits Leading by example to promote a safe, compliant working environment Effective communication with stakeholders Maintaining good geographical knowledge Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to streamline operations Managing driver training, assessment, and qualification processes Personal Specification: Extensive experience in all aspects of road transport, ideally with fuel distribution experience Strong leadership skills National or International CPC certification Experience working in a highly unionized environment with strong administrative and communication skills Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Oil and Gas #J-18808-Ljbffr
