  • Provide Technical Input: Contribute to drilling programmes, resource maturation plans, and new business evaluations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent The Prax Group at Technical Committee meetings and liaise with external parties, including the North Sea Transition Authority.
  • Budget Management: Work within approved subsurface budgets and manage contractors for specialist studies.
  • Mentorship: Supervise and mentor less experienced technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications: A degree and post-graduate qualification in Geoscience or a related discipline.

Experience: Demonstrable experience working with exploration assets, including contributing to well programmes and geological evaluations.

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of deepwater turbidite plays, structural and stratigraphic trap settings, and geophysical techniques.

Skills:

  • Sedimentological and biostratigraphic studies
  • Paleogeographic map construction and structural restoration
  • Basin modelling and pressure prediction
  • Geological risk assessment of prospects and leads
  • Proficient in using Petrel or equivalent tools for geological modeling and volumetric calculations
  • Experience performing analytical estimates (deterministic and probabilistic) of in-place volumetric calculations

Knowledge: Familiarity with UKCS operations and regulatory frameworks, including an understanding of relevant industry standards.

Strong Analytical and Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex geological data clearly and effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Motivation and Drive: A proactive, self-motivated individual with the ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and deliver high-quality results.
