What You Will Do

Reporting to the Machining Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting Machining Operations to ensure on time delivery and uphold quality standards.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Creating CNC Machine programs from NX
  • Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures.
  • Designing and updating jigs, fixtures and tooling including creating drawings for manufacture.
  • Raising orders for new equipment as required.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Mazak and Matsuura controls.
  • A good understanding of G Code.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 minimum in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Experience – Worked previously as a Manufacturing Engineer within aerospace, automotive or industrial sectors.
  • Working with sheet metal parts, castings, complex parts machined from billet and complex assemblies.
  • Experience working with welded and brazed fabrications is desirable.
  • Experience working specifically with heat exchangers would be advantageous.
  • Experience using CAD (ideally NX) and PLM (Teamcenter) packages is desirable.
  • Good understanding of technical drawings and GD&T.
