About OMNIA Training: OMNIA® Training brings together some of the UK’s most innovative defence training organisations to transform the British Army’s training system and create the best‑trained Army in the world.

Role Overview: You will be part of a high‑impact, collaborative environment, working with the British Army, OMNIA Training Support Branch and Raytheon UK Engineering Management. As a key member of the Facilitation and Administration (F&A) Service team, you will lead the Real Life Support (RLS) Service to design, deliver, and transform collective training solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the RLS Service and team.
  • Oversee planning, development and implementation of tailored exercise RLS solutions for collective training events.
  • Ensure processes supporting the design and delivery of collective training are in place and updated according to the Force Preparation Schedule.
  • Deputise for the F&A Lead when required.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and contractors to maximise training outcomes.
  • Design, integrate and implement RLS solutions across the programme, including transport, accommodation, catering, medical support and Dangerous Air Cargo (DAC).
  • Supervise the Med Plan to ensure medical provision, including emergency procedures and evacuation.
  • Direct liaison with F&A, logistic support and security support providers both within OMNIA Training and across the wider army and industry.
  • Ensure governance, risk management and compliance standards are met throughout the transformation lifecycle.
  • Build and lead a cross‑functional team, fostering a culture of innovation, agility and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on progress, risks and outcomes to training support leadership.
  • Deploy overseas to supervise implementation of RLS services as required.
  • Perform any other duties required to develop and support the RLS Service.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience designing Collective Training Exercise RLS support solutions for the British Army.
  • Strong background in designing and delivering critical RLS logistical and medical support solutions.
  • Deep understanding of management methodologies and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence at all organisational levels.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute delivery of contracted RLS solutions to exercises.
  • Experience in programme governance, risk management and benefits realisation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and strategic thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail, passion for quality and ability to plan and multitask.
  • Flexible approach, able to adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Experience working in or with public sector or defence‑related programmes.
  • Security clearance or ability to obtain (SC or above).

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience training both in the UK and overseas.
  • Familiarity with data‑driven decision‑making and digital transformation tools.
  • Experience leading a multi‑disciplinary team and developing talent.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of UK Ministry of Defence procedures and policies.
  • Ability to foster innovation and drive cultural change within large organisations.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third‑party delivery partners.
  • Familiarity or experience with JSP 800 and/or JSP 950.
