About OMNIA: At OMNIA Training, we've brought together some of the UK's most innovative defence training organisations under one powerful mission: to transform the British Army's training system and create the best-trained Army in the world. OMNIA are redefining the British Army's collective training. To do that, we are looking for the best and brightest minds from across the UK. We are backed by British innovation and powered by world-class experts, like you. OMNIA is at the heart of the UK's bold Land Industrial Strategy.
Role Overview: This is more than a job - it's a mission. You will be part of a high-impact, collaborative environment, where we expect everyone to live the values and standards of the British Army. Every person in our team plays a critical role in delivering OMNIA's vision; designing, delivering, and transforming collective training so the British Army is ready to fight and win. You'll work in a matrix organisation and report operationally through OMNIA Training and functionally through the Raytheon UK Programme Management Team. Ultimately, you'll work for the British Army, championing innovation, and helping shape the future of military training.
Working within a complex multi-stakeholder environment, you will be responsible for driving project delivery, managing risks and dependencies, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring key programme milestones are achieved. While the role includes oversight of asset-related activities and Government Furnished Assets (GFA), the primary focus is on effective project leadership and successful programme delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong project manager who enjoys working across functional teams, influencing stakeholders, and delivering outcomes within a large-scale Defence environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Leadership: Lead the delivery of asset-related projects and workstreams from initiation through to completion. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, assumptions, and dependencies. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to programme objectives. Coordinate activities across multiple teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. Monitor project performance and provide regular reporting to programme leadership. Facilitate governance reviews, project boards, and delivery assurance activities. Support business change, mobilisation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Defence customers, programme teams, partners, and subcontractors. Act as a focal point for project communications and stakeholder engagement. Manage competing priorities and drive collaborative solutions across organisational boundaries. Present project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Asset Management Support: Ensure asset-related activities are effectively planned and integrated into programme delivery. Support governance and compliance activities relating to Government Furnished Assets (GFA). Work with internal teams and customers to maintain visibility of asset status, utilisation, and associated risks. Support audit, assurance, and reporting requirements relating to programme assets. Contribute to the ongoing development of asset management processes and controls.
Who We Are Looking For: We are seeking someone who enjoys working across complex programmes, building relationships with diverse stakeholders, and helping organisations achieve their objectives through effective asset management and governance. You will be motivated by mission outcomes, comfortable navigating complexity, and able to work collaboratively across multiple organisations to deliver lasting benefits for Defence.
