Raytheon UK is searching for a Global Networks Lead to join our OMNIA(R) Training team. As Global Networks Lead, you will provide leadership, oversight and management across the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) global network. The Network will be prominently UK based however there are several other global locations required for the ACTS solution. Reporting directly to the Head of Training Support, you will play a critical role in ensuring the network design, implementation and delivery across the ACTS services and capabilities.
The Global Networks Lead role requires a systems-thinking mindset, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to lead network engineering teams in a complex and evolving environment. Given the programme’s focus on modelling and simulation, familiarity with relevant standards and technologies is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:- Lead the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure, scalable, and resilient global network solution (physical and cloud based), including hardware, software, and security protocols.
- Support network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimisation efforts to ensure attainment of performance and availability objectives.
- Ensure the network architecture supports the performance, latency, and reliability requirements of collective training systems across Live, Virtual and Constructive.
- Collaborate with engineering, simulation, and training teams to ensure seamless connectivity across all training environments.
- Provide subject matter expertise and oversight on mobile and RF communications, including 4G/LTE and 5G technologies in austere locations.
- Oversee network testing, validation, and optimisation to support real-time data exchange and system interoperability.
- Produce, review and contribute to High-Level Design (HLD) documentation.
- Represent engineering interests in programme boards, technical reviews, and stakeholder and customer facing engagements.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering mobile and RF network solutions in complex, multi-site and austere environments.
- Deep technical knowledge of 4G/LTE, 5G, and RF communications technologies.
- Strong background in military communications systems, including operational deployment and support.
- Experience working with secure, high-availability networks in defence or mission-critical contexts for both physical and cloud hosted networks (AWS, Azure).
- Ability to lead technical teams and collaborate across engineering, operations, and training domains.
- Strong understanding of network security, performance monitoring, and fault management.
- Experience with mobile edge computing, mesh networking, or tactical cloud solutions.
- Experience integrating network solutions with simulation and training platforms.
- Relevant certifications in networking (e.g., CCNP, CCVP, CCNA or CCDP or equivalent).
- Experience with Network analysis tools (CISCO Network Analysis Modules, Solar Winds Network Management, Nessus etc.)
