Position: Senior Systems Engineer.
Full-time contracted position embedded with our Commonwealth partners in 'Above the line' capacity on Defence facilities (ADL, CBR, SYD).
Hybrid Support.
Location: RAAF Base Edinburgh, BLDG 575 (External Site).

Key Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering services associated with requirements, integration, verification and validation (V&V). The specific services may include:
- Adopt and implement agile systems engineering and Model Based System Engineering in a large capability delivery program.
- Development, delivery and maintenance of Functional Baseline (FBL) and Allocated Baseline (ABL) specifications & Interface Requirement Specifications (IRS) in DOORS.
- Conduct V&V activities, including planning, writing procedures, inspection or analysis reports, coordinating and conducting or witnessing demonstration and test events.
- Develop, deliver and update Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) for FBL and ABL specifications.
- Develop and deliver requests for problem resolution (RPRs), develop and implement Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) workflows, including to support delivery of pre-engineered change packages to platform SPOs.
- Participate in systems and specialty working groups to coordinate the design and installation of ship infrastructure.
- Assist the compilation of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to achieve system certification.
- Prepare deliverables for review and support the conduct of System Reviews.
- Other assigned tasks as directed.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- A qualified practitioner with degree qualifications or relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated competency in the use of relevant engineering tools and applications including but not limited to DOORS®.
- Minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience required.
- Practical knowledge of programs and relevant systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage knowledge in daily work.
- Demonstrated a competency in the use of system architecture tools (e.g. CAMEO Systems Modeller or CATIA Magic).
- Demonstrated experience in System Safety and/or Cyber Security.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering Standards (EIA-632 or ISO/IEC 15288).
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security clearance as needed.
